Flatiron restaurant seeking experienced restaurant bookkeeper, independent contractor. Estimated duration is 2-3 days per week (6-10 hours). Duties would include all daily sales entry, payroll coordination, bank deposits and review of daily sales receipts, proper and timely submission of sales tax owed, as well as vendor follow up and advising management on weekly food/liquor and labor costs. Some strategic planning would be involved such as budgeting, operational controls, cost benefit analysis of large expenses and industry best practices. Person filling position would coordinate to have work reviewed by a tax/accounting entity selected by restaurant.
Compensation: $15/hour
